If you know the rest of that sentence, then The Princess Bride must be one of your favorite films too. Well, if you live in New York, here’s one of the city’s best kept secrets: Mondays with Oscar. You can see Oscar winning films for $5.00. Yes, $5.00! And often, there are members of the cast or crew on hand to talk about the project after the screening. It’s the best deal in town. I’m getting my tix for The Princess Bride promptly at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow when they go on sale at oscars.org.
Sometimes the things we dread can be blessings in disguise. Case in point, I had a case of the Mondays earlier today, then I remembered the significance of the first day of the week in my life. I met my now-husband on a Monday. We got engaged on a Monday. And, since we were married on a Sunday, our first full day as husband and wife was a Monday, too. It made me think that instead of dreading Mondays, maybe I should keep an eye out for something amazing to happen.
